From one of our valued clients:

“To whom it may concern,

I was charged with two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon in relation to a domestic situation. My case was heard in Woburn District Court. There was also a restraining order taken out against me. I was fortunate enough to have the legal representation on Tina Ohlson during this very difficult time in my life.

I was released on a personal recognizance and was able to gather my belonging from the home that I shared with the alleged victim. I was able to return to work right away and begin the long process of preparing my defense.

During the year of trial preparation I was also charged with three violations of said restraining order. Due to these new charges my bail was revoked and I was ordered held without bail for 60 days per bail warning. From this point Ms. Ohlson began to represent me in these matters. She ensured that my trial date was moved forward and heard within 28 days. She took this case without prior knowledge of myself or the details. She met with me constantly and took the time to listen and completely understand the situation. MS. Ohlson prepared my case for a jury trial in a very small window of time and explained to me in a concise manner all of the possible legal consequences of my charges. She explained all possible legal scenarios and what I should expect during court proceedings.

This case was argued before a jury in a two day trial with the alleged victim and the police testifying. Thanks to Ms. Ohlson’s strong preparation and knowledge of the law, her ability to address a jury in a confident and honest approach, and her strong cross examination skills; I was found not guilty of all charges and released from holding immediately.

Ms. Ohlson also represented me on the three restraining order violations that followed the origin charged. Again Ms. Ohlson was extremely well prepared and well spoken. Two charges were dismissed outright and the third was heard before a jury of six. I was again found not guilty on all charges thanks to Ms. Ohlson’s strong representation and ability to express herself to a jury. She has the ability to clearly explain legal issues to people in a very “common sense” type of way.

I can say without question that this was the most difficult time of my life and I am thankful that Ms. Ohlson was there to help me get through this situation. I am a permanent resident of the US and thanks to Ms. Ohlson’s help I avoided some very serious immigration issues along with the obvious criminal consequences of guilty findings in regard to these charges. Ms. Ohlson is very easy to speak to, takes time to listen, and sincerely cares about her work and her clients well being.

I owe a very large debt of gratitude to Ms. Ohlson, and I would without question recommend her services to my friends and family.”
